Does playing at home give any advantages in this game?

Unless it's the Wild Card round in MFN-19. Away teams wins more than 90% of the time.

Home teams get a small attribute boost. Also, crowd noise is tracked and the visiting team will have more false starts if the noise is loud.

Like in the NFL, it's not a huge advantage, but could be enough to tilt the game in the favor of the home team if they are otherwise equal. Unlike the NFL, there are not teams who have a better baseline home field advantage than others (other than the impact of attendance on the crowd noise).

In the Wild Card round often times the away team is a better team - you have a lot of poor divisions sending their winner who wouldn't even be in the playoffs otherwise, and a lot of wild card teams are teams in a tough division that would easily have won some of the other divisions.

I understand why it happens. It's just become humorous in 19 because of how often it happens. :)

Just a random thought then .. if crowd noise can be a factor, why is being able to change your attendance in custom leagues a paid option?

Just playing devil's advocate..

For the record, I upped mine by 20,000 when I first took over the team and the only time I maxed out was in the playoffs.. and lost. LOL

All crowd noise calculations are based of % of capacity - both for determining the attendance and calculating its impact. The attendance numbers are just used for display purposes and because that's normally how we expect attendance to be reported.

It seems to me that home field advantage is counted for as 3 points in the power rankings. That's what I have seen anyways. The Super Bowl should be played at a neutral site. In Paydirt I am in the super bowl and I am at 10.8 in the power rankings, my opponent Oakland is at 5.9. That would be a 5 points in my favor, but it only has me as a 2 point favorite. That would seem to indicate to me that my opponent has home field advantage even though the game should be played at a neutral site. I checked to see if any other leagues were like this, and in die hard fans league the Chiefs 12.9 are playing the Eagles 12.6 in the super bowl. At a neutral site it should be an even game, but the Chiefs are a 3 point favorite. I hope I'm seeing things wrong it looks as if one team is getting a home field advantage in the super bowl.
