During training camp, does depth chart placement factor into player progression at all? i.e. if veteran QB1 has 0 volatility and rookie QB2 has 100 volatility, place QB2 ahead in the depth chart (for more practice reps) in hope of a bigger payoff?
Training Camp is just a simulation of the camp. There's no amount of reps or anything.
Volatility is only really useful to look at when drafting, as soon as you know where a player booms or busts, you'll know how he develops. If he's going up, he's going up.
Only place depth chart matters for progression, is when playing games.
