Need to bear in mind a) which game engine the comments referred to, b) the intent isn't always backed by what the engine does in reality and c) observation of games and data is more important.

When I created the NBA league it was will the intention of testing the importance of physical size on the offensive line.

I drafted my offensive line solely based on strength, run blocking and pass blocking and only selected smaller players like FB & RBs that fit that criteria.

It was a complete failure which made me believe taller players with at least 280 lbs were needed on the offensive line.

Side note: some of the best owners in MFN want speed at LT to offset the speed of edge rushers

I have used converted fb/te with good blocking as guards and had decent success, but I never pulled out all the stops and tried them across the board for the full line. Maybe they can’t hold up at tackle. There’s always been true linemen in most of the starting positions. That said, it doesn’t l always make sense to me as to which players end up being the best LT and such, as I’ve shifted players that are rated more physically impressive and better rated blockers away from the blindside edge rushers for giving up too many sacks, and somehow the seemingly inferior guy holds up better. Maybe it’s pure dumb luck or skill of the opposing threat, but some guys just seem to play better than others. It happens at skill positions too, paper champion underperforms, the guy rated lower goes off…

Overall ratings have to be taken with a grain of salt as we all know. From my experience strength only plays a little role in pass blocking. Speed acceleration intelligence and pass blocking are the keys there. Strength just gives a little longer before the ol is pushed back to the QB. Intelligence on ol is huge as it chooses angles and who to block. Strength is mostly a run block attribute. In fact despite my teams often leading or top 5 in rushing. Many of my ol have 60-80 rb and 95-100 pb but I use strength to offset how long he holds the block by using strength to push him back more. For my ol I usually have an 80 strength minimum and 50 mobility. Intelligence I want at least 75. Pass blocking has to be as high as possible and run blocking can be sacrificed but preferably above 30.
