Practice Squad

Well let me be first say that I have been reading about this for the NFL in that NFL has a practice squad of 5 players , squad of 8 players or squad of 10 players which it depends where you read about it.

So with that I would say the best one would be 5 players of a practice squad because as it stands now the preseason lets you have 60 players then you have to cut your team to 53 players before the season starts which means if you just add the 5 players practice squad you would only have to cut 2 players to be at good favor with the restriction on your team.

Now if you add the squad of 8 players you would have 1 empty spot to have to fill on your team which might mess things up in that all players would have to find 1 player to have a full team and that might make the free agent list go empty which in turn would hurt if someone had to sign a player later on if they had a injured player they had to replace.

Now really if you add the squad of 10 players that would mean there would be 3 empty slots for people to fill on their team which I am pretty sure would empty the free agent list so if someone had to replace a injured player they would be up a creek without the paddle and hurting big time because of the expansion.

That is not how it works in the nfl . There are a bunch of rules through waivers that a player has to clear first. Not only the restrictions that qualifies a player to be on a practice squad any way. Simply keeping guys is not how it should work in the first place. A detailed application of a practice squad would be nice but much trial and error might have to happen first.
