I think a useful addition during drafts would be a "Do Not Draft" checkbox. It's always terrible when you set up your board, but then they all get taken and you end up with a player that might be rated highly, but lacks in a key skill position. Like a WR with 10 speed. Having this quarantine option would remove a lot of frustration.

I definitely see this as a viable option , but see the same objective happening already with one setting custom weights to favor speed more.

Only because my do not draft list is close to a few hundred players each normal seven round draft

well at least he is trying to think outside the box which i dont see any harm in doing especially if it helps level the playing field for everyone instead of only a select few get the benefit of it.

The field is leveled by using the custom weights. That is the whole point. I just auto drafted all of my allocations to disprove any problems with AI selections. From drafting to gamemplans... I am running pure AI.

Also, i stated like the idea of not selecting a certain player, but still it would be tediously ineffective for me to use this option . Also, there is no harm in suggestING another way to achieve similar results.

On the other hand .....you suggestin anything here that doesn't involve unneeded drama might be avoidable, but still I welcome everything thing you and everyone posts.

If anyone or punisher feels only a select few can achieve what I described is only slighting them selves . Me personally , in these forums I have on numerous occasions already explained how to do this.....

i just think there should be a way people can avoid drafting a player they dont want.

knowing you want to ask questions of other people i have a question for you and i would want you to anwser it honestly.

Have you ever drafted a player either be auto or manual that you didnt want??

If you have said YES then really you can honestly see where the OP is coming from
If you have said NO then i guess you still dont understand where the OP is coming from.


With that being said i would imagine most people either be auto or manual would say YES to that question and really they would see a better way of avoiding that problem to doing what the OP suggested.

Or at least have it where if they did draft a player like that they could reject it and the player goes back to the DRAFT where someone else could pick that player , the player could just pass the DRAFT stage and go directly to the free agency or even where the player could just skip the whole draft and free agency and never to be seen or heard from EVER again.

Or in due time jdb's weights for different systems which match actual game play /performance and none of this would ever be brought up because a 17 speed player will be serviceable at any weight. Not just interior line. The whole thing really quite simple and not as complicated as some make it. But it's clear that speed matters more right now.

If a player is drafted, they are never going back into the draft pool.

All I was suggesting was a check box on the player card, similar to add to trade block, that removes the player from your auto draft queue. Yes, player weights should be utilized, but some still slip through, for example age or retirement % during allocation drafts.
