There is a huge difference between 4th and 1 or 2 and 4th and 5(?). When i want my powerful running team to go for it on 4th and 1 in enemy territory that does not mean i also want them to run a dive play on 4th and 5.

You can already do this via rules.

Instead of short / medium / long, select "yardage". Then you can choose the specific yards you want to apply for that rule.
