It would be way sweet if coach pending contracts showed up in "pending contracts" link, as well as "top offer." As players do during FA periods. Would give owners a chance to prevent poaching.
EDIT: Also would create "hot" coaching prospects - a la hot FA's.
More fun.
Way sweet.

coaches pending contracts does show up as pending contracts.

they just dont show up as pending contracts where you can see top offer on that coach though you can always see those offers when you go to a coaches transactions and see what contracts he rejected and which one he signed

Just made 2 offers a while ago, nada on pending yet after several refreshes ;)
In any event, it would be nice to see what is going on w/ coaches as we can with FAs.

if you are talking about MFN 6 ( https://mfn6.myfootballnow.com/team/24 ) you cant sign anyone until Midweek

if you are talking about NFL ( https://vikings.myfootballnow.com/team/32 ) the pending contracts go thru when late free agency 1 of 3 stage simmes in 1 day and 4 hours

if you are talking about MJF ( https://mlf.myfootballnow.com/team/20 ) then i got nothing why it is not working for you

I think I have an answer for this.

As I'm sure you know, you can see your pending players and coaches in the drop menu under "My Team", and then under pending contracts. These offers show up immediately after you offer a contract.

What I think you are asking is why the coaches "pending" contracts (or all teams offering a contract) doesn't show up, when clicking on their coaches card. The reason is, this information only shows up on their card after the sim takes place. Since a coach signs with the highest bidder after 1 sim, you won't have the luxury of knowing how many teams may be pursuing him before he signs, you do find out how many teams are after a player, when the player does not accept a contract after the first sim.

If this is what you were asking, I would agree with you that it would be nice to find out if someone is after a coach on your team. There doesn't even have to be the exact amount listed. Simply an asterisk by the coaches name to let the current owner know that the coach has been offered a contract could make this part of the game more interesting and allow the current coach to offer more, or hire another coach, knowing others are interested.

it is indeed, and ty for an informative answer.
Much like player FA i suppose, so no issues with that at all.
edit (as always): good to see JDB liking your post ;)
we may be on to something.

Think they should get away from the "BLIND OFFER" and at least let a owner know that another team is interested in the coach.

I know its part of the game, even though its one of the most annoying and upsetting parts of the game.

And I understand and accept that coaches will accept promotions from other teams as being part of the game, but even the real life NFL REQUIRES other teams to give notice that they are interested in a team's coach by way of seeking permission to interview that coach. Don't know why we can't, at least, do that.

Playing devils advocate here .. why not reup them week 1 of Early FA? Certainly, you dont know how much it would cost to keep them. And yes, I am one to make a ridiculous offer to get the HC I want. But in reality, there isn't a CoO or PC that would turn down a HC offer.

Because just re-upping them just isn't enough. If you resign a positional coach to a new contract that is more than a Coord position that is being offered, the positional coach will accept the Coord offer, and likewise with a Coord being offered a HC position. I accept this because its a promotion and part of the game, and it is wrong simply because its a "BLIND OFFER"

As an owner, I do not have any idea if any other team is interested in one of my coaches. I do not even find out about it until I wake up, check my site, and then see my X coach accepted an offer from Y team for Z position, leaving me now to scramble to find a replacement.

This is just Gdamn Effenin WRONG.

Meanwhile, the real life NFL requires teams to notify other teams that they would like to "interview" members of other teams coaching staff.

For someone/something that, according to many site forums, that HAS NO EFFECT, on a season's end results, wouldn't one think that "successful" teams would concentrate on finding the next Belicheck instead of stealing a member of an up an coming team's coaching staff?
