Injuries during Pre Season

I have a player who started preseason with an 8 week injury at early free agency week 1 and now in late free agency week 3 (8 weeks later game time or close to) he is still listed as questionable 8 weeks do injuries heal during preseason ? or am I missing something obvious

He will heal completely before training camp.
