I will end my reason and comments/replies for posting this topic with this, not as a high horse rider or concerning whatever your opinion is of me, that has nothing to do with the subject of this thread. Its not about me, its about the game and its development. Its about you and the game, not me.

If you really like and enjoy MFN, and you would like to see it improve and continue, then I would urge you to join myself and the others who have subscribed and support it. Especially if it does not break your bank or put any stress on your monthly financial situation for $5-15 per whichever subscription. Thats it, its not about having multiple teams, that is an additional benefit if you want to have more than one. I also like not having to X out ads when they pop up. cheers, G

Hoping by the sounds of the latest update, that we are getting back to real nuts and bolts in the actual game engine. Good to see actual progress taking place, now hopefully the laundry list of unrealistic strategy hacks can be addressed.

We are still a long way from that. Game engine won't be touched until after the new UI is implemented and fully stable. That will not be soon. I can't use the new UI without getting an error message at some point. Every single time. Don't hold your breath on updates to the very broken game engine.

revenue doesnt hurt, but it seems the issue is man power. im sure dude is doing all he can. he birthed it after all. it is a lot for one person. so we have a catch 22. not enough revenue to support a team to develop/maintain MFN....hence the perpetual beta which isnt exactly worth paying for

when MFN was using the donation model i was happy to contribute. but there isnt much sense in paying a subscription for something that isnt complete. perhaps best thing that could happen for us players is if MFN was sold to a development team. last time i posted something like this it dissapeared

not trying to talk trash here, just sharing thoughts. MFN has tons of potential, but i have seen minimal improvements during my 8 years of involvement. i cant imagine how many hours dude has put into MFN. it would be excellent if he got his due return

so yes i am all for MFNs success, me dishing out $120 a year isnt gonna get it there. would need 500 people paying 10 dollars per month to generate anything close to a living wage

best to all

The subscription model has it's place.

I suspect many on the free subscription level wouldn't necessarily be averse to donating as and when over a sub.

Would be nice to have that option.

I'm paying $180 a year for a game that hasn't a significant change to the broken game engine in 4 years.

I'm paying for a new UI that may help JDB in the new but to me it's a step backwards.

I dread the day we are forced to switch UIs because I may seriously think about leaving a game I love because it's gotten worse....IMO!!!

We need the game engine to change and fast or there simply won't be enough owners to have any full leagues and that's very frustrating.

Money clearly won't fix the problem only time and effort will and we have been as patient as possible without much to show for it. I wish he would sell it to a real developer who would put in the work while he gets paid for his efforts but that is all out of anyone's hands
