Split Out Fatigue by Position Group

Fatigue substitutions should be broken down by position group. For instance, I may want my RBs to substitute out at 30 or 40 fatigue, but my WRs at 50 fatigue, etc.

for some reason in my last game my 70 RB got more carries than my 96 RB and I don't know why. He wasnt injured but he just almost didnt play in the 2nd half and its a regular season game.

I mean thats ok if my WRs subs more but I don't wanna see my back up O-Line too much

Exactly. That's the thing that inspired this post. I want to run a committee of fast running backs, but I don't want to see my backup OL unless someone is hurt.

Use a very high fatigue value and substitute your RBs using the override function. Takes a bit of time, but not too much.

I'm already subbing RBs by personnel package. This still doesn't reduce the fact that subbing by position is a big need. For instance, I would also like to rotate DL at a higher rate than LBs or DBs.

What I said also applies to DL (and every other position). The down and distance overrides, together with generating and applying rules, provides a great deal of flexibility. I think many GMs would rather use the AI to call their personnel packages and plays and devote their attention to multiple teams and leagues rather than attend to the game planning details that I describe.

I disagree that this applies in the way that I suggested in the first post. For instance, if I have a group of DL that I trust to be a solid rotation, and don't really care when they play, I don't want to have to set a new lineup for every down and distance. I just want them to rotate in and out so that they are always fresh.

The gameplanning you're talking about applies if I have a really fast DE with good pass rushing skills, but weak run defense or strength. That type of a player I want to make sure is on the field on second and long or third and medium to long plays.

Likewise, if I have a running back with great hands and route, but average other skills, I might make him the third down back. But again, what I'm thinking of is creating a situation where you want players subbing in and out all the time in a particular group without worrying about down, distance, and situation.

I love the situational game, but I also just want some generic subbing ability.

This is a reality now. Thank you JDB.
