ok i'm gonna try to keep this as focused as possible because i am fairly annoyed by your UI in general right now and have gone from stoked as **** about this game to barely caring in about 3 days.

the core problem to me right now is that creating a draft board in the war room is a joke. when i go the draft class page my option to "filter" is limited to only position. that's it. ******* unbelievable.
i need to be able to filter for the following and more:
age
overall grade
potential
individual skill grade
individual skill potential
height
weight
...ect

without the ability to do so the act of setting a board turned into a thoroughly unenjoyable grindfest of scrolling through names and crosschecking to see how much depth was left at each position.

the auto board set feature was useless, even after adjusting the sliders. it clearly had no sense of roster requirements and positional scarcity. completely worthless, never even considered using it.

the physical timing of the draft is terrible. with 4 rounds running a day, unless you have the time to be glued to your computer the whole time day after day it's impossible to really react to the draft. two rounds a day would be much more manageable. i had to set a board i hoped would last through 3 rounds knowing i wouldn't be able to check until the end of the day, it was demolished after two and i ended up drafting a second center and it completely sabotaged my draft.

the poor draft system has ruined my enthusiasm for this game and my team. i really hope you slow it down and put more work into the UI.

one thing that's much less crucial to playability but very annoying to me as someone who wants a realistic gm sim:
it doesn't seem like you're anywhere close to emulating the talent pool of real life. for instance, running backs are a dime a dozen in real life. teams know they don't have to invest in the position because there are any number of late round picks or even UDFAs who have nfl level talent at the position (see: alfred morris, arian foster, isaiah crowell...ect) in this talent pool by the time we got to round 4 there wasn't a rb worth a pick left.
it feels like you just slapped the same loose bell curve on every position

+1 for the additional search filters.


-1 for lowering the amount of rounds per day in an allocation draft. I don't want to spend 3 weeks to complete the draft.

Thanks for the comments, Fantasy! No argument from me on your points, the allocation draft in particular is one area that we know needs to be improved. Part of the reason it hasn't received a ton of attention is because it is a very small part of the lifecycle of a league ... the regular annual draft goes much more smoothly, although your points are well taken in that context as well. (The annual draft spans 5 days and has much more time between picks).

I do hope you bear through some of the unpolished areas and enjoy MFN - the game is still far from being considered even "version 1.0" so I appreciate your patience and always welcome you to continue to offer your comments on areas that frustrate you.

It is impossible too please everyone with the draft.No,matter how many rounds you have a day.You have others in all different time zones .Then throw in a person"s work schedule.Then their own personal matters and family.This is why you set your draft board in advance and plan ahead.If you did not set your draft board in advance.It is your own fault. Mfn can not accommodate a select few for drafting.

the thing is, i DO want the initial draft to last weeks if need be. it's the most important event in the league and will shape the future of the teams.

as to saying i "didn't set a board" that's absurd. there's no possible way a board could be set past 3 rounds deep that will result in what i would consider a successful draft. you can't just rank hundreds of players in a vacuum and let it rip. a draft is about reacting to other players in real time.

given the importance of it, and the fact that this game needs no connection to real life timelines it makes absolutely no sense to have the draft move at this pace. the fact that there are so many timing issue involved for all players is just another reason to slow it down so that teams have every chance to draft well. its too information dense and too rapidly changing to be reasonably managed right now.

i really want to "bear through" things to like this game, but what i'm trying to warn you is that this is too big a flaw for me to do so. i can already tell 8 rounds in that the league im in is ruined. it's not going to be the game i want it to be because there is an extreme level of "haves and have nots" every auto-drafted team is godawful, about 6 teams in the league are head and shoulders above every other and it would take years of active management for any semblance of parity to be restored.
considering the difficulty in just keeping 16 team dynasty leagues filled, i think it's highly unlikely owners stick with these teams once they start to realize how large the talent disparity is and many of these leagues will be abandoned shells very quickly

Sounds like you would like a 24/7/365 1 Season League. Still 5 Credits for each season?

Idk, but that don't sound hardly fair to jdb tho.

just a normal post from him lmao jks.

What he meant is that he thinks you want a real time game simulation. So in real life today is draft day and mirrors in the game. One game a week instead of every 2 days etc etc etc.

I have not joined a league and had an allocation draft. I would suggest new players start by taking over a team already created and a season or more old. Learn hwo to fix a team and it will help you know how to build a successful one from the start. Just my opinion.
