You are making the assumption that the only reason to switch positions is to tank.

Well when this happens Yes i will assume people are tanking

Player = https://having-funmyfootballnowcom.myfootballnow.com/player/2000
that player is QB#1 for the Cleveland Browns

sure league is a Roster Only League yet still i think when someone even goes as far as tell people their whole intention to getting the 1st pick in the coming draft it even makes it worse

thread = https://having-funmyfootballnowcom.myfootballnow.com/forums/1/111?page=1#142

i rather seen their only QB be the QB instead of WLB yet he has him at TE

QB = https://having-funmyfootballnowcom.myfootballnow.com/player/3293

I understand IN THIS CASE yes he is tanking but you cant punish everyone for the actions of one owner.

Thats a custom league created by someone who is league admin. This issue needs to go through him. If the league admin deems it inappropriate to purposely tank then he should take action.

1st
The league admin should be contacted to see if purposely tanking isnt allowed. If the answer is yes then...

2nd
a warning to the owner that purposely tanking by playing players out of position is means for lose of ownership.

3rd
If the owner ignores the warning and continues to do so, remove the offending owner from the league.

My point is this Punisher, NOT EVERYONE that moves offensive players to defense or vice versa is attempting to tank.

This is a league issue, I checked the league forum out and didnt see a thread bringing up these concerns. Has the league admin been contacted about this? If so, what is his response? The power to legislate change in any custom/created league begins and ends with the league admin.

Well i dont look at it as punishing everyone for the actions of one owner i look at it as cuts out the work the league admin of a created league going to 31 teams or even all 32 teams to make someone isnt TANKING where they are putting a defense player on offense or offense player on defense

heck it would be tiresome going to all 32 teams or whatnot every single day to make sure they are not TANKING.

I can imagine it would be alot worse for someone like you where they have 3 created leagues which comes out to 96 teams or 93 teams and depending on how long it takes someone to go thru every individual player you could be talking like maybe 8+ plus hours on either 1 league or all 3 leagues.

And we havent even touched the fact the regular leagues that JDB has created would bad or even worse because that would mean JDB would have to go thru every league , every team , every player , etc. to make sure a player isnt TANKING

Yeah ok cjfred

Now about that league Not sure Admin has been told and really if he isnt active league admin like some are then well then thats makes it that much worse because problem would happen and nothing would be done about it.

Also how about those created leagues that have a league admin but they havent logged in for longer than a month or more if this problem arises in those leagues then nothing would done about it.

I dont have to check every team to see if they are tanking. If it happens in my league, it would be brought to my attention and I handle it. Just like you are bringing it everyones attention here. Why not PM the league admin and let him handle it? He paid credits to create that league and he is an active admin. Let him handle it. I honestly dont know why that wasnt the first thing done. I can understand if you PMed him and he didnt respond. Tanking is gonna happen especially in leagues without active admins.

If JDB wants to implement this to fix generic leagues, I have no problem with that as long as I can turn that off for my leagues.

Nevermind...I will message him myself....maybe he doesnt care if someone tanks....then what?

The bottom line is with or without this rule, you cant stop people from tanking. A team could have 3 QBs with the third being the worst possible QB in the free agent pool and it will serve the same purpose if he starts.

How are you gonna stop that?

Or I could play my LG at QB and my RG at RB. Who is stopping that? Without an active league admin this could still happen under your new rule.

I understand you want to fix something that cant be fixed.

Another example, if Im 15-0 and Ive clinched the #1 seed, Im not gonna play some of my starters to avoid injury, is this tanking? Happens all the time in this game and real life.

You have suggested rules for this and other things like a limit on going over or under the cap, a limit on free agent contracts offered and various other controls to avoid issues.

The problem is for every owner that abuses these things, there are dozens of owners that know what they are doing.

I have had all these issues in my leagues but Im there to monitor and fix them. The real problem in MFN is the lack of league admins.

We need to create an "adopt a league" thread. Punisher, you would make a great league admin. You are passionate about the game and obviously have the time to do it. Pick a league you enjoy and adopt it. Become active in that league, recruit owners and monitor the league for all the things you are concerned about.

If every owner were to "adopt a league" the game as a whole would improve
